Today, the US and its Western allies are explicitly lying about the events in Palestine and many other matters. They inversely portray tremendous disasters. Even today, the West holds onto the same positions. The United Nations has been a disgrace to itself. The US was disgraceful and became more notorious.
The following is the full text of a speech delivered on May 30, 2018 by Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a meeting with poets. The meeting was held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Hassan Mujtaba (a.s.).

I would like to congratulate all of you on Imam Hassan Mujtaba's (a.s.) birthday anniversary. The Last Prophet (God's greetings be upon him and his household) always spoke about the virtues of that Imam. It was the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.) that chose this name for him. It is very great and important that the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.) named that blessed child "Hassan".

Today, heads of the usurper regime and their American supporters wishfully think Palestine and its people will be crushed; however, Palestine and their nation will persist: the Palestinian flag will be raised high thanks to the efforts of young Palestinians.

A big fallacy which has taken control of the minds of some persons concerning the problem of Palestine is that a country named Israel is a 60-year old reality with which one has to reconcile. I do not know why these people do not learn from other realities that are in front of their eyes. Is it not a fact that the countries of the Balkans, Caucasus, and Southwest Asia reclaimed their identity after 80 years of loss, and after being parts of the former Soviet Union? Why cannot Palestine, which is part of the body of the Islamic world, reclaim its Islamic and Arab identity? Why cannot the Palestinian youths, who are among the most astute and resistant of Arab youth, overcome this unjust reality by their will and resolution?

اقتصاد نفتی -یعنی تکیه‌ی اصلی به فروش نفت خام- یکی از عیوب اساسی اقتصاد ما است؛ رهبر انقلاب از حدود بیست سال قبل این حرف را گفتند و بعضی از مسئولینِ دولتهای آن روز یک لبخندی زدند و از آن عبور کردند. ما بایستی به جایی برسیم که هروقت اراده کردیم بتوانیم درِ چاه‌های نفتمان را ببندیم و این ممکن است، این را بعید نباید دانست؛ این چیزی است ممکن.
حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای:«ما اسیر نفت نباشیم؛ امروز ما اسیرِ نفتیم، ما توی مشت نفتیم؛ نفت هم دست ما نیست. تولیدش دست ما است، [امّا] قیمت‌گذاری‌اش دست دیگران است، امکان فروشش دست دیگران است، تحریمش به دست دیگران است؛ ما در واقع اسیر نفتیم، [ولی] نفت باید اسیر ما باشد، نفت باید در اختیار ما باشد؛ این یک سیاست قطعی است. نفت یک سرمایه‌ی ملّی است. البتّه سالهای طولانی‌ای خواهد گذشت تا این سرمایه تمام بشود امّا خب تمام خواهد شد. ما عادت کرده‌ایم که نفت را یعنی این ذخیره‌ی ملّی را از زیر زمین می‌آوریم بیرون و بدون هیچ ارزش افزوده‌ای میفروشیم.» ۱۳۹۷/۰۳/۰۲
حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای: «انقلاب تمام نمیشود، انقلاب استمرار دارد، انقلاب ادامه دارد، انقلاب متوقّف نمیشود. یک صیرورتی وجود دارد؛ صیرورت یعنی شدن، شدنِ دائم، تحوّل دائمی؛ در مسیر انقلاب یک صیرورت دائمی‌ای وجود دارد که این صیرورت دائمی، بتدریج آن آرزوهای بزرگ را، آن ارزشهای والا را، آن آرمانها را در جامعه تحقّق میبخشد. خب، حالا این آرمانهای بزرگ چیست؟ من شش هفت مورد از این آرمانهای بزرگ را ذکر میکنم؛ البتّه فقط اینها نیست.» ۱۳۹۷/۰۳/۰۷

حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای: «بی‌طرفی در دعوای حق و باطل معنی ندارد... باید طرف حق بود، مقابل باطل ایستاد...شاعر نمیتواند در جنگ حق و باطل بی‌طرف باشد. اگرچنانچه شاعر، هنرمند بی‌طرف بود، تضییع نعمت خدا را کرده؛ اگر خدای نکرده طرف باطل را گرفت، آن‌وقت خیانت کرده.» ۱۳۹۴/۰۴/۱۰
رهبر انقلاب در دیدار رمضانی مسئولان نظام (۹۷/۳/۲): «ما با این سه کشور اروپایی دعوا نداریم، امّا اعتماد نداریم. مسئله‌ی ما مسئله‌ی دعوا کردن و اختلاف ایجاد کردن نیست؛ مسئله‌ی اعتماد نداشتن است؛ ما به این کشورها اعتماد نداریم و این هم متّکی است به یک سابقه.»

در شب ولادت کریم اهل‌بیت حضرت امام حسن مجتبی (علیه‌السلام)، جمعی از اهالی فرهنگ، شعر و ادب فارسی با رهبر انقلاب اسلامی دیدار کردند.
حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای: «یک درس رمضان، سخت گرفتن بر خود و انفاق به دیگران است. انسان چقدر لذت می‌برد که می‌بیند در شب ولادت امام مجتبی علیه‌السلام بالای سر یک نانوائی تابلو زده‌اند که امشب به عشق امام حسن علیه‌السلام، نان از این نانوائی صلواتی است.» ۸۶/۰۷/۲۱
کتاب «دو امام مجاهد» مشتمل بر سخنرانی‌های حضرت آیت‌الله خامنه‌ای در سالهای ۵۱ و ۵۲ در تحلیل سیره سیاسی امام حسن و امام حسین(علیهماالسلام) است که توسط انتشارات دفتر حفظ و نشر آثار رهبر انقلاب اسلامی منتشر و در اختیار علاقمندان قرار گرفت.

We should raise children in a way that they would plant a kiss on their mother’s hand: Islam calls for this behavior. Respect, from child to mother, doesn’t contradict the emotional relationship between mother and child. Women should be held to a high esteem within their families. This is the way to prevent oppression against women.
Husbands, children, fathers and brothers should behave in a respectful way towards women. If women are regarded as respectable in the family environment, an important part of problems in our society will be solved. We should raise children in a way that they would plant a kiss on their mother’s hand: Islam calls for this behavior: this can be observed more frequently among religious or ethical families that are more familiar with religious concepts. Children, in any family, should always respect their mother. Respect, from child to mother, doesn’t contradict the emotional relationship between mother and child. Women should be held to a high esteem within their families. This is the way to prevent oppression against women. Imagine that in a family and in a home, the man hurls all kinds of insults at his own wife, including behavioral and verbal insults and physical abuse.
Today, the dilemma in the world of Islam is its drifting away from the Quran. The malady that some Islamic societies are suffering from is because of an overall drifting from Quran. Look at the situation in Palestine [how Muslim countries’ negligence of Quran has afflicted their brethren in Palestine]. A people are driven out of their homes, and those who have remained in their homes are under all kinds of stress--an example of which you witnessed recently. Many people were martyred and several thousand individuals were wounded or injured at the hands of a usurping, malicious, and fraudulent regime: this is while so many Muslims were merely watching the catastrophe unfold--like mere spectators.

I would say that “Les Miserables” is miraculous among all other novels. I have recommended all young individuals—repeatedly—to read the novel. Les Miserablesis in a way sociological work of art: it’s a record of history. It’s a significant book: a book about divinity, kindness, compassion, and love.

Today, Western imperialist powers -- that is to say, a few large, rich and powerful Western powers headed by the US and malevolent England behind them -- have stood firm to defend this usurping, oppressive and cold-hearted regime: this is of extreme importance. They are supporting the Zionist regime openly. What exactly are they supporting? They are supporting the creator of tragedy: no ordinary and fair-minded person would accept any insensitivity towards these horrific crimes.
Why do they [the West] support this regime? They support it for the absurd reason that the President of the U.S.A. does. He says, "Israel has the right to ensure its own security." So, Palestinians do not have the right to ensure their own security? Is it acceptable for a government ["Israel"] to threaten the lives of a people who have been ruthlessly besieged by them, while they ["Israel"] have no sentiment? Does anyone find this acceptable? How will history judge their ["Israel" and allies] reasoning?

First of all, I would like to congratulate you dear brothers and sisters, during the auspicious days of Sha'ban and the peak of Sha'baniyah Eid which is on the 15th of Sha'ban. The 15th of Sha'ban and the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Hujjat (God's greetings be upon him, and may He hasten his re-appearance) is a noteworthy incident due to the characteristics of the 15th of Sha'ban and the birth anniversary of the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for his sake) which are hope and justice.
There are two outstanding points in our anticipation and our celebration of the 15th of Sha'ban. One is the issue of raising hope on this birthday and for the
future, where humanity is waiting as a result of this birthday. This is a source of hope.
