The ideals of martyrs should not be forgotten

How did martyrs live their ordinary life? For example, how was their marriage? In the memoirs of some martyrs which are, in fact, their biographies – of course, I have seen, read and looked at part of these biographies – the issue of their marriage comes up. The discussion is about how they married, their way of choosing a spouse – the kind of spouse that they were looking for – their marriage ceremony, and their behavior towards their family. All of these are peaks of Islamic ethics.

Today, we have serious problems in regards to moral. Today, we need these qualities back: how do our youth think and how should they really think when it comes to choosing a spouse, presently. Ourmartyred role-models should remain within their sight: our martyrs are great role models. Sometimes, some people come to us and complain that we do not introduce role models to our youth [...]

No one can eliminate the map of Palestine from the memory of the world

The Zionist regime will not survive. All historical experiences, certainly, dictate and convey this message. The Zionist regime has fundamental problems. Today, the Americans, the elements in the Zionist regime, itself, and some weak-willed governments, which are obedient to the US, think that by establishing overt or covert diplomacy with the Zionist regime, they can solve some problems. --This is not the case. The problems caused by the Zionist regime will not be solved by the existence or non-existence of a diplomatic relationship with other governments. It is not the case that problems initiated by the Zionist regime will be resolved should two, three governments – more or less – establish relations with it or break the taboo of establishing relations with "Israel" and join hands with it. The Zionist regime's biggest problem stems from its lack of legitimacy: the Zionist regime is illegitimate; the formation of this regime is based on a lie.

 

Zionists expelled a people from their country by force, via massacres and threats, and with the help of armed forces: they did this to a historical nation. The Palestinian nation is not an illegitimate or newly-emerged nation: the same is true of the country of Palestine. Are they able to eliminate Palestine's map from the historical-geographical memory of the world? Is this possible? Even if they force several weak-willed countries in the Middle-Eastern region into establishingdiplomatic relations with the Zionist regime, this will not solve their problem: the source of their problems stems from lack of legitimacy.

The Saudis will face a loss in regards to Yemen: Imam Khamenei

As for the issue of Yemen, the Saudis have established a disgraceful tradition in the region. Of course, they have made a grave mistake. Today, what the government of Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen is exactly the same thing that the Zionists are doing in Gaza. This issue has two aspects: one is that it is a genocidal atrocity. It is a violation that can be pursued by international authorities. They murder children and destroy houses, infrastructures, and national sources of wealth. Well, this is a major violation against a population. --This is just one aspect of the overall issue.

The other aspect is that the Saudis will suffer a major loss on this matter, and they will not achieve victory. There is very clear proof for declaration. The reason is that the military capabilities of the Zionists are several times stronger than the Saudis, and the Zionists always fail. The Zionists are much stronger. The Zionists, too, had military capabilities; the camp they went against was a small strip of land, namely Gaza [The Zionists have failed in their mission against Gaza]. But the camp against the Saudis is a country which is comprised of tens of millions of people. It is a people and a vast country that has stood up against the Saudis. If the Zionists cannot achieve victory in Gaza, the Saudis cannot achieve victory in Yemen. Of course, even if the Zionists did achieve some victory, the chances for the Saudis to achieve victory in Yemen would still be null. In the present time, their chances are less than zero. So, they will definitely receive a blow. Without a doubt, their noses will be rubbed in dirt.

We have many differences with the Saudis regarding various political issues. But we have always said that the Saudis behave with tact and gravity in their foreign affairs; but, they have lost this tactfulness and gravity. A few inexperienced young individuals have taken the affairs of that country in their hands, and they prefer savagery over intelligence and maintaining appearances. --This will be to their disadvantage. I warn the Saudis: stop these criminal actions are committing in Yemen! This is not acceptable in the region.

God blessed doctor Beheshti with martyrdom

I would like to make a comment on the esteemed martyrs of the Haft-e Tir bombing and the important event which happened on June 28, 1981. This important event will go down in history. I would also like to point out something to the honourable officials of the judiciary.

Regarding the Haft-e Tir event, the most important point is that we lost the most honourable and prominent revolutionary elements in that bombing. A person like martyr Beheshti, who was a unique and exceptional figure of the Revolution, was martyred for the sake of the Revolution. I knew many of the martyred political figures, senior managers, ministers, MPs, and the political activists of the Islamic Republic - who were all prominent figures. I had worked with some of them. The fact that these high-ranking officials laid down their lives is very important. After all, a country, a civilization, or a government will get nowhere without making sacrifices and laying down lives. Those people were the pioneers of this path.
