As for today’s martyrdom anniversary, this martyrdom is not a tragedy that took place during a specific period of time, the memory of which we are shedding tears to: this is a tragedy for all times. The tragedy of martyring the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) – “I swear to God that the foundations of guidance have been annihilated” – did not inflict a loss only for that era, rather it inflicted a heavy loss for all history to come.

 

Twenty five years before that martyrdom, Fatima Zahra (ra) said to the women of Madina, at a time when she was sick and bedridden, “If Ali had been entrusted with caliphate, he would have smoothed the path for the people” [speaking in Arabic]. “Sojoh” means smooth in Arabic. “And he would have led them to happiness without them receiving a wound” [speaking in Arabic]. He would not have allowed – these are my own words – the power of the government and the ruling-oriented spirit of Islam to inflict the slightest wound on the body of the Islamic community -- not even the slightest wound! He would have taken thetasksfurther, and he would have prevented any kind of harm whatsoeve

Therefore, what has happened – the inappropriate and absurd behaviour of the current US president – is not contrary to our expectations in any way. These are methods that they've used from the beginning. During the time of the former administration, they were doing similar via one approach, and, now, they are carrying them out in a different way. Before that too – during the time of Bush junior – they used to do these things differently as well. In every administration, they have shown their malice, enmity and viciousness against the Iranian nation, one way or another, and the people of Iran have stood up against all these administrations with complete power.

I do not know why these people do not learn from other realities that are in front of their eyes. Is it not a fact that the countries of the Balkans, Caucasus, and Southwest Asia reclaimed their identity after 80 years of loss, and after being parts of the former Soviet Union? Why cannot Palestine, which is part of the body of the Islamic world, reclaim its Islamic and Arab identity? Why cannot the Palestinian youths, who are among the most astute and resistant of Arab youth, overcome this unjust reality by their will and resolution?

We should raise children in a way that they would plant a kiss on their mother’s hand: Islam calls for this behavior. Respect, from child to mother, doesn’t contradict the emotional relationship between mother and child. Women should be held to a high esteem within their families. This is the way to prevent oppression against women.

Husbands, children, fathers and brothers should behave in a respectful way towards women. If women are regarded as respectable in the family environment, an important part of problems in our society will be solved. We should raise children in a way that they would plant a kiss on their mother’s hand: Islam calls for this behavior: this can be observed more frequently among religious or ethical families that are more familiar with religious concepts. Children, in any family, should always respect their mother. Respect, from child to mother, doesn’t contradict the emotional relationship between mother and child. Women should be held to a high esteem within their families. This is the way to prevent oppression against women. Imagine that in a family and in a home, the man hurls all kinds of insults at his own wife, including behavioral and verbal insults and physical abuse.

How will history judge their ["Israel" and allies] reasoning?

Birthday of Imam Mahdi (pbuh) is a celebration of Hope and Justice for all humankind

First of all, I would like to congratulate you dear brothers and sisters, during the auspicious days of Sha'ban and the peak of Sha'baniyah Eid which is on the 15th of Sha'ban. The 15th of Sha'ban and the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Hujjat (God's greetings be upon him, and may He hasten his re-appearance) is a noteworthy incident due to the characteristics of the 15th of Sha'ban and the birth anniversary of the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for his sake) which are hope and justice.

There are two outstanding points in our anticipation and our celebration of the 15th of Sha'ban. One is the issue of raising hope on this birthday and for the

future, where humanity is waiting as a result of this birthday. This is a source of hope.
